Jurassic World Experience London Review – Battersea Power Station

Published on 29 August 2025 at 14:27

We had been desperate to visit the Jurassic World Exhibition London ever since it returned in May! We sadly missed its first visit to London last year, so when it came back, we were thrilled. We booked it as a special pre back-to-school treat and have been looking forward to it all summer.

Having experienced the Jurassic Park River Ride at Universal Studios as a teenager, I thought I had an idea of what to expect when it came to animatronics but honestly, my expectations were completely exceeded! This isn’t just an exhibition, it’s a full blown experience.

All Aboard the Jurassic World Ferry

From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in the story. We boarded the Jurassic World Ferry, guided by an in-character host who told us we were on our way to Isla Nublar. The “ferry” even had digital windows showing rolling ocean waves, which made it feel like we were really at sea. Such a clever touch!

Welcome to Jurassic World

On arrival, we were led through the iconic Jurassic World gates and greeted with the words: “Welcome to Jurassic World!” an instant goosebump moment. And there it was: a life-size Brachiosaurus, towering over us. Absolutely breathtaking!

From there, we wandered through lush jungles and futuristic labs, each zone bringing new surprises. We got to pet a baby dinosaur, come face-to-face with the incredible Blue the Velociraptor, and even step inside a gyrosphere.

The Grand Finale – T. Rex Kingdom

The highlight, of course, was the T-Rex finale. I don’t want to spoil too much, but let’s just say it was jaw-droppingly realistic! The roars, the scale, the movement… it felt like a real encounter with the King of the Dinosaurs. Without a doubt, the most impressive animatronic of them all!

Final Thoughts

We left the exhibition buzzing, feeling as though we had been transported straight into the movies. The attention to detail is phenomenal, and the staff were incredible—never breaking character and adding so much to the atmosphere.

This is an experience for all ages. Kids will be amazed, adults will be blown away, and it’s something the whole family will remember.
