The Minecraft Experience London : Our Family Review

Published on 1 August 2025 at 23:35

As soon as The Minecraft Experience London was announced, it wasn’t a question of if we were going – it was when! My 10-year-old is a massive fan of the game and all things Minecraft. To be honest, my husband loves playing it too! As for me… well, I’m completely clueless but always up for an adventure!

Top tip: If you’re planning to go this summer book it now!

We decided it would be a perfect outing for the summer holidays, but we totally underestimated how popular it would be. There are no walk-ins for this attraction, you have to book a time slot for your chosen day in advance. We booked about two weeks ahead and the only slot left was 10:15am. Needless to say, we grabbed it fast to avoid missing out!

Getting There

The experience is really easy to find. We’re regular London travellers, but I’ll admit I was a bit worried about navigating there. Honestly though it’s so easy! It’s located at Corner Corner, right by Canada Water Station. You step out of the station and BAM! A massive green Minecraft-themed building is staring right at you. You cannot miss it!

The Experience

When we arrived for our time slot, we were taken into a waiting area with the rest of our group. What stood out straight away was that they only let in small groups at a time. That makes such a difference! Unlike some attractions that cram in as many people as possible, this felt spacious and calm which made it way more enjoyable, especially for the kids.

Before the experience began, a staff member handed out glowing orbs and explained that they’d be our tools for crafting, battling mobs, and building during the adventure. Another thing we noticed immediately was that the staff were fantastic! Super friendly, fun, and totally in character. Even for Minecraft novices like me, they made it fun and easy to follow along.

The entire experience lasts around an hour, and you’re guided from room to room with different quests, items to collect, and builds to complete all leading to the final goal of Rescuing the Villagers! You’ll know you’ve completed a mission when your orb turns green - very satisfying.

At the end, after successfully passing through the Nether Portal and finishing all your quests, you’re rewarded with a special code to unlock an exclusive in-game cape at home. Mase was buzzing about this and yes, he added it the second we got back!

Our Verdict

We loved this experience. Would I personally go again? Probably not but only because I’m not a Minecraft fan and a lot of the magic was lost on me. But I did really enjoy doing something new together as a family. However, If you ask Mason and Steve though? They’d go again in a heartbeat!

The Minecraft Experience is incredibly well put together. it’s creative, fun, and so immersive. If you have a Minecraft fan in the family, this is an absolute MUST. It will totally blow their mind!
